Launcher

The ROM Launcher is a window listing the ROM images kat5200 knows about, so you can configure and launch them without hunting through the filesystem each time. Open it from the main menu with Load ROM from Launcher.

The Launcher is organized into four sections, selected from the tab row at the top:

  • ROM List — the searchable list of known images; select and launch titles.
  • ROM Actions — Launch / Launch - No Reset / Attach for the selected title, plus its ROM info.
  • ROM Options — per-ROM Name, File, Mapping, favorites, and entry management.
  • View Options — filter which entries the list shows.

These pages cover them:

At a glance

  • The ROM List is a searchable list of known images. Click to select; double-click or press Enter to launch.
  • The list is backed by per-category database files (list.csv), with favorites tracked separately (favorites.csv).

A ROM needs a file to launch

An entry can exist in the database without a file assigned (for example after importing a catalog). If launching reports "No filename set for this ROM", set the File in ROM Options or scan for files (Adding & Scanning ROMs).
